Get your SEO to where it needs to be

The SEO Consultant you should hire

Hey. I’m Ed.

You’ve probably worked with an SEO agency before, and might have been drowned in jargon, lots of lists of things to do, and ultimately not gotten anywhere, nor been sure what your budget was actually getting. That’s all before you get a brand new account manager every 9 months.

I don’t operate like this. With me you’ll have a clear understanding of what 3 things you need to do to make your website work harder and smarter, why you need to do them, and the ROI it’s going to get you.

Have a look around, and when you’re ready, get in touch with me below.

Industries & Work I specialise in

E-commerce SEO – If you’re a medium to large retailer with solid brand awareness and operations, there’s likely a lot we can finesse through technical fixes, internal linking and website hierarchy, content and gap opportunities. If you’re a smaller store or just launching, it’ll depend on the niche as to whether I think SEO is worth it for you or not.

Finance SEO – As long as you are not too restricted by legal, compliance and 17 layers of internal approval, I can get you results. Insurance, Lending, Credit, Banking etc. – one of my core specialties.

Franchise SEO – For multi-location state or nation-wide businesses, I have extensive experience in structuring and growing franchise networks at scale, leveraging group power to dominate locally.

SaaS SEO – Won’t lie, depending on who you are, which category and where you sit in it, this can either be easy, or a long road to travel together.

Website Migrations – Whatever the scope, it’s the perfect time to get SEO involved from the start (not 2 weeks after going live when everything has tanked) and set yourself up for a positive outcome. I’ve done plenty, working closely with developers and designers to embed SEO upgrades into your site, clean and consolidate what we’re taking across and what we’re leaving behind.

Technical SEO – Messy things. Javascript-heavy sites and rendering, crawl budget issues, million-page parameter scenarios from marketplace, listing aggregators, or constantly-changing content – I can get to the bottom of things that a lot of people won’t even know are an issue.

General Marie Kondo’ing a site – By now you’ve probably got a decade plus build-up of technical debt, 5 pages that all talk about pretty much the same thing, a whole section that got dropped from the main menu and forgotten about, a blog that’s missing your GA4 tracking… whatever it is, I work well at getting the house in order, finessing and fixing what’s already there rather than churning out more things on top.

Link Building – Sometimes a dirty word, but depending on your category and niche, it may be necessary. I’ve got a range of partners I use for various types of link acquisition, and I’ll show you through the competitive landscape, where you sit and what’s recommended.

There’s likely more I can help with if you’re not directly listed above – just ask!

What am I best at?

Too much of the industry showers you in jargon and complicated-sounding things. That doesn’t help anyone. I’d rather give you 3 things that are going to have an impact, over a list of 30 things from an ‘audit’.

Most agencies will happily take your money, but few will honestly tell AND show you whether SEO is worth it as a channel. I will, and if it’s not right for your business, I’ll tell you that.

You don’t need another audit checklist. You need a clear understanding of where the market opportunity is, what you can achieve, and how that helps align with your total business goals.

Google ads are expensive. Paid social ads are expensive. I will make your product, category and content pages reach their full potential, and save you budget you can spend more effectively elsewhere.

Whether you’ve got 1,000 pages of accumulated content with no idea what it’s doing and what’s working for you, or know that you need to build a content footprint from the ground up, I’ve got you covered.

From million-page sites with crawl budgets to Javascript rendering and web migrations, we will get Google to clearly understand your site and address all technical barriers in place.

Benefits

Why choose me over an SEO agency?

You work with me

No ‘bait-and-switch’ where you get handed off to a junior as soon as the contract is signed, or a new account manager every 9 months you have to start from scratch with.

You get my experience and expertise directly focused on solving your problems.

No lock-in contracts

The industry has a bad reputation with clients locked in to long contracts or high retainers with no escape, and no real work being done.

There’s none of that to be found here.

Full circle honesty

I don’t want to just take your money. If SEO isn’t right for your business or the opportunity isn’t there, I’ll tell you that. If you’d be better off investing in digital PR or YouTube, I’ll tell you that and direct you to someone who does that.

Trust & Partnership

I want you to succeed and I’ll figure out the working style that makes that happen. Notion / JIRA / Trello / Email / Google Sheets? Whatever works for you, I’ll integrate with that. I’ll speak directly with your developers, with your product team, handle briefing your content writers – I want to make your job easier, not harder.
